When I was 8 years old, I decided I was going to be a performer, end of story.
I was that weird kid who everyone wanted to smack because I never said anything, and when I did, it was usually pretty random - and half the time I didn’t say it, I sang it. My dad tried to “Normalize” me by putting me into sports, but this backfired when I found the grass more interesting than the game and I would pick the dandelions in the Little League outfield. This unintentional defiance landed me in dance class.
I got my BA in Drama Studies from SUNY Purchase and also trained at Boston University, Circle in the Square, and Vassar Powerhouse Theater. It was at Purchase where I discovered that words are my superpower and my playwright side was born - but acting and singing will always be my first love.
Since college, I have performed all over New York City and Connecticut and my pieces have gone international. My short film, “Catch the Bird, Stupid!” that I wrote and produced, was shown in Australia at the Melbourne Debut Film Festival where it opened for an Elaine May film.
These days, when I’m not performing or brainstorming my next hairbrained script, you can either find me exploring some obscure museum, nerding out over some lost piece of history or cuddling my cat.
